covid 19 + your wedding

First and foremost, we want to let you know that we’re here for YOU. Whether that’s just chatting on the phone to ease anxiety or working together to reschedule your wedding date, we are going to do our very best to work with you and be flexible. In the meantime, we wanted to provide some helpful information that might answer some of your questions!

WHERE TO START

We highly recommend you reach out to your venue first. They are under strict guidelines by the local government and can give you a realistic picture of what is happening right now. We recommend asking them what other couples are doing, especially those getting married in the same month as you.

WHEN TO POSTPONE

If possible, we recommend making a decision at least 2.5 months before your wedding day. Once you decide to postpone, please reach out to us immediately. We will work together to find a new date. There are no date change fees for weddings impacted by COVID-19.

HOW TO REBOOK

We will work together closely to choose a new date. We are going to be as flexible as possible with you and ask that you do the same. Once a new date has been chosen, we will resend your contract with a rescheduling clause. Again, there are no fees associated with rescheduling due to COVID 19.

ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER

In the event that neither Hannah or Anna is available for your new wedding date, we will discuss working with another associate photographer. They would photograph your wedding day, deliver the unedited / RAW files to us and we would edit the images to match out signature style!

CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event that we are not able to reschedule for your new date, you will receive a refund of any payments made after your non-refundable retainer. Your retainer payment will not be refunded.

PAYMENTS

There's no rescheduling fee, but you will need to sign a rescheduling addendum to change the contracted date. Your retainer payment and any payments made are applied to your new wedding date. We can discuss individual payment plan options if needed.

SOFT HOLD FOR 2021

You can put a soft hold on a 2021 date if you are unsure about rescheduling at this time. If someone else chooses that soft hold date, you will be notified immediately and will then have 72 hours to decide if you want to move forward with officially rescheduling or the date will be released to the other couple.

frequently asked questions

1.what are other couples doing?

So far, ALL spring dates have been postponed to later dates in 2020 or moved to 2021. Summer (June + July) dates are beginning to postpone. We’ve also had a few fall 2020 couples postpone for 2021. Majority of our weddings this year are in the fall and there are still many couples hoping to keep their 2020 date!

2. what do you guys think we should do?

Honestly, we’re not sure. We never could have imagined this situation in the first place. Knowing what we know now, there is a chance that there will be a gathering limit of 50 or less people on all events for the rest of 2020. The sooner you decide to postpone, the more likely you’ll be to get a date you want and keep all your vendors, which will save you a lot of money. When it comes to vendors, most of us are going to do everything we can to postpone and not cancel on you! But again, we can’t make this decision for you. It’s really a matter of what you’re comfortable with!

3. What vendors do we contact first?

This might not be the answer you want, but you need to contact all of them. You are likely on a payment plan and you will need to see what each vendors policy is for payments when rescheduling. Here is the order I would consider: 1. Your venue and planner are the most important 2. Your photographer, videographer and any vendor that is a single person business 3. Vendors that have a team and are known to do multiple weddings a day, they will have more flexibility.  Once all vendors have confirmed a date, put them all in a group email to send the final confirmation, this is a good way for us to connect! Your vendors are a team of professionals all working together to serve you!
