Stephen’s love of photography began as a child when his grandfather took him to photography exhibits. They created images with pinhole cameras his grandfather built and developed the film in his darkroom. After college, Stephen accepted his first wedding commission and have since shot almost 100 weddings in the last decade.

 After 10 years in Wisconsin, Stephen’s family decided to move to California to enjoy more sunshine and time in the outdoors. Having access to great Mexican and Vietnamese food is also a favorite perk! Stephen + his family love spending time anywhere on the coast, at wineries, and hiking in the amazing natural areas of Northern California. 

Stephen’s passion is translating the unique character of a particular place at a particular time into beautiful imagery that can live on as a testament to that moment so it can be enjoyed for years to come.
