Coffee Shop Engagement Session: State College, PA
Taylor and Nate are two of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. When she said she wanted to include their regular date spot in their engagement session, Saint's Cafe in State College, PA - I was SO excited! I am thrilled to be photographing this sweet relationship as it changes from fiance to spouse. Their love for each other is a beautiful representation of God's love for his Church. I cannot wait to watch these two become husband and wife! Keep scrolling through to read their courtship & proposal stories!
Their story, told by her:
Nathan and I met as sophomores here at Penn State. We were both attending DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship and had some mutual friends. Then that semester we both began attending the same church too, Calvary. One day we ran into each other at Starbucks at the HUB and ended up talking, which eventually turned into a regular thing ;) A few months into our friendship we began dating and now it's been over 2 and 1/2 years! I've since graduated but I'm still living and working in State College and Nathan is in his senior year.
The proposal, told by her:
Nathan proposed this summer, August 19th, in Sunset Park. We each live with friends in College Heights so Sunset Park is practically in Nate's backyard. I had come over to his apartment to make dinner that evening, but found that he had already made it and was waiting for me.. (I knew something was up then!) Then he told me we were going to get dessert. So we went through Sunset Park and when we turned a corner (there's a very wooded area back there) he had already had a table prepared with my favorite dessert, tiramisu, candles and photos of us through our different seasons so far together. There was an empty frame, so we could add one from that night. He asked if we could pray together and when I opened my eyes, he was kneeling! He proposed with a beautiful rose gold diamond ring that I completely adore.
