Surprise Helicopter Proposal: Baltimore, MD

Jairus contacted me about two weeks before Bethanie's birthday to ask about having some surprise proposal photos done.  I was blown away by his thoughtfulness and concern when I had any suggestions on how to make the proposal go smoother. Before their scheduled helicopter ride we decided to take some portraits of the two of them. I played it cool by telling Bethanie I was working for Monumental Helicopters and had to photograph a couple for their Valentine's Day special... After they headed off for their tour I was left to set up the proposal spot.  Jairus had brought lanterns and candles to create a circle where he would get down on one knee. When they returned, the rest is history! And of course Bethanie said YES. Talk about the best birthday ever!!
