Liz + RJ's Engagement Session: New Jersey

I can't say enough good things about these two! Stephen and I got to know Liz & RJ through a year long program at our church called Senior Exit and I'm so thankful to call them friends!

When Liz called to talk about her wedding photography we spent most of the time catching up about her & RJ's experience in Nairobi, Kenya this summer! (If you know me, you'll remember that I spent 3 months in Nairobi, so we had A LOT to talk about!)  We chatted about how RJ was originally supposed to take a job after graduation that would send him 5 hours away from Liz, so getting engaged hadn't really been in their immediate future plans. I love how Liz told the entire story and how she said God worked in their lives to place them in the position to pursue marriage right away... Because oddly enough, after they returned from Kenya, RJ ended up taking a different job last minute that put him back in his hometown, only ONE hour away from Liz! What a testimony of God's grace and mercy in their relationship!

All of my couples become family by the end of their wedding experience, but I'm always extra excited when old friends decide join the family! I can't wait to photograph these two in August! Their joy for Christ and passion for living out a marriage that points to Jesus is inspiring! I'm so excited to watch them tie the knot & can't wait to see what the Lord will do through their marriage! This photo cracks me up!

I LOVE this picture! RJ probably said something goofy and I can guarantee that I'm cracking up behind the camera like Liz!  And last but not least, a little Christmas cheer!
