San Francisco & Yosemite

So many people were confused by this trip haha. I booked a flight to San Francisco very impulsively. Decided I would do a little solo trip since I didn’t have any weddings in July.

Other than the flight, two Airbnbs and a rental car - I didn’t plan this trip AT ALL. I knew I wanted to see Yosemite and spend a few days in SF. Other than that, things were pretty much up in the air. Once I got there, my strategy was simple… I just asked a local where to go next and then went there. I had zero expectations and just wanted to go where the wind took me. It really worked out great haha!

I cannot recommend traveling alone enough. This was one of the best trips of my life. It truly was an eat, pray, love movie. I had time to reflect in Yosemite and then enjoyed the city life of SF.

One question I got a lot - “who is taking all these photos of you!?” Well.. when you’re in a place like Yosemite there are tourists everywhere. Everyone wants their photo taken. I’d just offer to take someones photo and then ask for a photo in return. Everyone was super nice and when they realized I was alone they were even more willing to take my picture. So basically just be nice to people and they’ll help you out haha.

Not like me at all, I didn’t really bring any of my camera gear except my iPhone and a tiny fuji digital camera. I really didn’t want this trip to be about “getting the shot.” I just wanted to enjoy nature and explore this incredible country!

Of course I still took a billion photos haha. Here is a collection of images from my trip in no particular order…
